NeuroChord™: A Wearable Neuroacoustic System for Real-Time Vocal-Harmonic Alignment in Human Communication
Abstract
Interpersonal communication is shaped not only by words but by the subtle, often unconscious resonance between speakers at neural, emotional, and acoustic levels. We present NeuroChord™, a novel wearable technology that captures, analyzes, and modulates vocal frequencies in real time to optimize interpersonal alignment beyond verbal semantics.
Using an array of sub-audible harmonic modulators embedded in the device, NeuroChord continuously measures the fundamental frequency (f₀) and harmonic overtones of both the wearer and interlocutors via contactless micro-resonance sensors. This data is processed through the NeuroHarmonic Engine™, which integrates:
1. Bioacoustic Mapping – Extracting the interlocutor’s vocal frequency spectrum and correlating it with biometric micro-signals (e.g., pulse-synchronized amplitude fluctuations).
2. Sub-Audible Harmonic Alignment – Real-time modulation of the wearer’s vocal output at ultrasonic frequencies, imperceptible to human hearing, ensuring vocal resonance with the conversational partner’s neuroacoustic profile.
3. Cross-Linguistic Neural Entrainment – Leveraging phase-locking between cortical oscillations and modulated speech signals to facilitate semantic comprehension and rapport, even across linguistic barriers.
A preliminary double-blind study (n=64) indicates that NeuroChord™ users experienced a 47% increase in perceived conversational “flow”, a 32% rise in empathic attunement scores, and measurable synchronization in theta-band neural activity between speakers, compared to control groups.
These findings suggest that sub-audible harmonic alignment constitutes a viable channel for enhancing human connection, potentially transforming fields from diplomatic negotiation to psychotherapy.x
